Taste and Character
The blend smokes smoothly and is slightly spicy, with a subtle sweetness in the background. Characteristic are the herbal notes of peppermint and meadowsweet leaves, which give Älplertabak its fresh, alpine character. A subtle apricot aroma enhances the aroma without overpowering the taste of the tobacco.
Blend and Origin
Älplertabak consists of two-thirds Burley and one-third Virginia tobacco, 100% grown in Switzerland. It is sauced with Roth's base sauce made from honey and sugar cane molasses. The tobacco is produced in Tabakfabrik Roth's own facility.
Cut Widths
Älplertabak is available in three cut widths. Please select your preferred option above:
- Fine cut: approx. 1.5 mm – fine, also suitable for rolling and filling
- Medium cut: approx. 3.5 mm – the classic pipe cut
- Coarse cut: approx. 9.0 mm – slow-burning, for leisurely pipe smoking
