Camacho Nicaragua Robusto – spicy with a sweet edge
The Nicaragua line takes its name from the Nicaraguan tobacco in the filler. In terms of flavor, it sits between the mild Connecticut and the uncompromising Corojo: spicy, but with a sweet layer that rounds out the smoke. The Robusto format, measuring 12.7 cm with a ring gauge of 52, is designed for approximately 45 minutes of enjoyment.
What does the Nicaragua Robusto taste like?
The subtle notes of cinnamon and dried fruit are particularly striking, giving the blend an almost dessert-like sweetness without tasting sweet. In contrast, pepper provides spice and structure. The overall impression ranges from sweet to earthy and spicy, changing noticeably throughout the smoke.
Construction
The wrapper comes from Ecuador, while the binder comes from Honduras. The filler combines tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Nicaragua—three growing regions that together create its complexity. The cigar, like the entire Camacho range, is made in Honduras.
