Camacho Connecticut Toro – the mild side of Camacho
Camacho has always stood for robust cigars from Honduras. The Connecticut line is a deliberate counterpoint: a light Ecuadorian wrapper covers a tobacco binder that has character without ever overpowering. The Toro format, measuring 15.2 cm long with a ring gauge of 50, gives the blend around 55 minutes to develop.
What does the Connecticut Toro taste like?
Wood and pepper take center stage, complemented by creamy notes and a distinct finish of nuts. The smoke remains smooth and consistent throughout, without any harsh peaks. This balance is exactly what makes the Connecticut the house's entry-level line – and the cigar for a lighter moment in the day, when a Corojo would be too much.
Construction
The wrapper comes from Ecuador and is a Connecticut seed. The binder comes from Honduras and is a Criollo Seco. The filler is a blend of four tobaccos: San Vicente Volado from the Dominican Republic, as well as Criollo Seco, Corojo 99 Visus, and Criollo 98 Visus from Honduras. This complexity ensures that the cigar does not taste one-dimensional despite its mildness.
