Camacho Broadleaf Robusto – dark, sweet and leathery
The Broadleaf line is the darkest in the Camacho range. Broadleaf tobacco is a broad-leaved type that is fermented dark, developing sweetness and depth – the opposite of the dry, spicy Corojo character. The Robusto, measuring 12.7 cm with a ring gauge of 50, is designed to last around 45 minutes.
What does the Broadleaf Robusto taste like?
The start features dark chocolate and espresso. In the middle, it becomes smoother, with sweet cream and spices. Finally, leather and oak take over, giving the cigar a dry, mature finish. If you like Maduro profiles, this is for you.
The construction
Both the wrapper and binder come from Honduras, while the filler combines tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Honduras. The limited range of growing regions here is intentional: the dark wrapper character is meant to lead.
