montreal-original-vieux-port-50ml-shortfill
Montreal Original Vieux Port 50 ml Shortfill

Vieux Port Shortfill – award-winning Virginia tobacco in a 50 ml format

Vieux Port is the best-known variety from Montreal Original and is named after Montreal's Old Port. As a shortfill, you receive pure Virginia tobacco without nicotine: 50 ml of e-liquid in a 70 ml bottle, leaving 20 ml free for nicotine shots or base. At VapExpo Paris 2021, the variety was awarded third place in the Classic category.

What does Vieux Port taste like?

Pure Virginia, without a second layer of flavour: tart, dry, slightly woody, with that almost dusty note of well-aged Virginia blends. You will search in vain for caramel, vanilla or nuts – and that is exactly what sets it apart from most tobacco e-liquids. The finish is tart rather than sweet. In the larger shortfill format, the profile develops particularly well over longer sessions.

What sets Montreal Original apart from other tobacco e-liquids

Most tobacco varieties on the e-liquid shelf use artificial flavours and a good dose of sweetener. Montreal Original instead extracts tobacco flavours using reverse osmosis – a process from the Canadian cannabis industry that the brand adopted for e-liquids after legalization in 2018. The flavour molecules are extracted directly from the tobacco, leaving residues behind. The result is drier and noticeably less sweet than usual. Sucralose and added sugar are deliberately omitted, which also generally keeps the coils clean for longer. The brand was founded in Canada in 2020; the recipes are created in Canada and bottled in France.

How does a shortfill work?

A shortfill is a nicotine-free e-liquid in an intentionally oversized bottle. Here, it is 50 ml of e-liquid in a 70 ml bottle – so there is 20 ml of space left that you can fill with nicotine shots or base. After adding them, shake the bottle well.
